Yesterday kicked off our gym’s new 10-week challenge. I’m a kickboxing instructor and challenge coach, so technically, I’m supposed to be the one inspiring others. But last week, our studio owner posted something that stopped me in my tracks:

ā€œThis morning I was thinking about how many of us wait until January to ā€˜start fresh.’ But what if you didn’t wait this time? What if these final 90 days of the year became your moment; the one where you committed to building real momentum instead of burning out and starting over?ā€Ā

I’d be lying if I said it didn’t get me thinking. I coach the 5AM crew; those early risers who show up in the dark, ready to throw punches and chase goals. And as I read those words, I realized: I need to commit just like my challengers. Not just to the workouts, but to the whole picture.Ā

šŸƒā€ā™€ļø Life Lately: Sports, Schedules, and Survival ModeĀ

Let me set the stage. I’m a mom of two: an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. In the past two weeks, we’ve logged 23.5 hours of sports. That’s not a typo. And while my kids would be perfectly content with a steady diet of McDonald’s and candy, I’ve learned that talking to them about how food fuels our bodies actually works. They ask for fruit. They ask for frozen yogurt (aka Go-GurtĀ in the freezer). They still ask for candy, but now theyĀ getĀ why we say no sometimes; and the tantrums have dropped dramatically.Ā

šŸ½ļø My Commitment: Fueling the Family Without Losing My MindĀ

So here’s my challenge: I’m committing to meal planning in the least time-consuming way possible. Because it’s not just the kids with 24 hours of sports; my husband and I are the drivers, the coaches, the ā€œwouldn’t have it any other wayā€ supporters. And I refuse to cook separate meals for everyone.Ā

Why?Ā

  1. Time. I don’t have it.Ā
  2. Tastebuds. They need expanding.Ā

Do my kids love every meal? No. Do we have chicken nuggets on backup? Absolutely. But they only come out when theĀ realĀ ā€œI don’t like itā€ face shows up; not the fake one. You know the difference.Ā

Enter AI: My New Meal Planning AssistantĀ

I’ve decided to use AI to help me plan meals that fit my macros and are kid-friendly (or easily adaptable). I want meals that fuel our bodies, fit our schedule, and don’t require me to become a short-order cook. I’ll be sharing what works, what flops, and how we’re making it happen; without losing our minds.Ā

This post got a little longer than I expected, but if you’re curious about what my week looks like for kid-friendly, macro-friendly meal planning with a little AI magic, drop a comment. I’ll share it all; wins, fails, and the occasional pantry hideout.Ā

Catch ya Thursday!

Raising leaders, chasing goals, and occasionally losing my mind.
